Elastics (Rubber Bands)
Elastics improve the alignment of your upper and lower teeth. Ensure you wear them exactly as instructed for them to be effective.
Palatal Expander
A palatal expander gradually widens your upper jaw by applying gentle pressure on your upper molars with each adjustment. Follow your orthodontist’s instructions on adjustments and wear the expander for several months post-expansion to stabilize the changes.
Retainers
Retainers are removable appliances that maintain the position of your teeth after straightening. Follow your orthodontist’s care instructions and wear schedule to prevent any shifts in alignment.
Separators or Spacers
Separators are small rubber rings placed between your teeth to create space for orthodontic bands. Avoid sticky foods and flossing around separators to keep them in place. They will be removed when bands are installed.
Clear Aligners
Clear aligners are transparent, removable trays that straighten your teeth without the need for metal braces. They allow for easier eating and cleaning. Wear them as directed to avoid irritation and ensure effective treatment.
